In January 2015 Harvey Brinkman sold the brokerage to Bruce John Stracke. While Stracke becomes the primary broker and owner of the commercial real estate and business sales firm. Brinkman will remain as a broker associate for the foreseeable future. The sale combines Stracke’s technology and development experience with Brinkman’s broad local expertise. Together they employ their knowledge in commercial real estate practice to craft successful deals while building strong relationships. The firm will continue to office at 821 Earl Garrett Street in Kerrville.
Bruce John Stracke – Broker
Stracke has a commercial real estate background along with development, design, and building in California, Utah and Texas. After a successful career in the San Diego and Salt Lake City metro areas, Stracke moved his family from Utah to Kerrville in 2006. In 2010 he was a founding partner and the primary broker of FORE Commercial.
Bruce enjoys exploring the outdoors, backpacking and hiking remotes corners of the United States. He spent two years as a river guide in Grand Canyon National Park and continues hiking, skiing and backcountry exploration with his wife of nearly 20 years, Julie Lipman Stracke. Photography is a hobby you’ll see displayed on the walls of his office. His three children humble him with their accomplishments and vision for the future.
Harvey Brinkman – Broker Associate
Brinkman and his wife have been Kerrville residents since 1976, owning and operating the local Mr. Gatti’s franchise for 15 years before founding Brinkman Commercial Properties. “Kerrville and Kerr County have been very good to me and my family. Our friends, business associates, and mentors make our lives complete. With Bruce assuming the broker responsibilities, we will continue to grow the Brinkman Commercial Properties tradition for capable, honorable and complete real estate and business brokerage services,” Brinkman said. “He understands the importance of lasting relationships here in the Hill Country.”
Carl Henneke – Realtor
Following in the footsteps of his grandmother, a local real estate broker and investor, and grandfather, who started Meek Ranch Sales in 1946, Henneke set his sights on Kerrville’s commercial real estate market. He found a home with one of his grandfather’s longtime friends and pupils, Harvey Brinkman. Starting this past April, Henneke proudly joined Brinkman Commercial Properties, to work closely with Brinkman and Stracke. Henneke is very excited for the opportunity, and eager to reconnect with old friends and acquaintances as he continues a family tradition in hill country real estate specializing in the commercial market.
Raised in the Texas Hill Country, Henneke is one of three sons born to Fred Henneke and Janet Meek of Kerrville, and grandson to Rosa Lea Meek and the late Carl Meek Sr. He
attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas attaining a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Real Estate Finance and honors in Liberal Arts.
Henneke spent three years working for Metlife as an institutional sales representative in Dallas and Los Angeles, where he gained two years of market experience selling group benefit packages to companies under one thousand employees. Henneke returned home to Kerrville in hopes of being closer to family, and starting the next chapter in his career.
